TouchDesigner YVR
Organizer - Volunteer
TouchDesigner YVR (TDYVR for short) is a monthly meetup for creatives from all backgrounds who are interested in interactive art. TouchDesigner is a multimedia program that is often used for live music visuals and performances.
My role is to support event operations, engage with the community, and manage content for social media.
The meetups are hosted at Z-Space, an arts and technology society in Vancouver, BC.

What is TDYVR?
This short video gives a preview of what happens at a TDYVR meetup.
The release of this video in-part led to the creation of TouchDesigner LDN, a meetup for local creatives in London, UK.

Presentations
Presentations are at the heart of the meetup. Members explain how they use TouchDesigner in their projects such as concerts, art installations, or interactive experiences. There is also time for questions.
Each presenter has their own technical needs, which are fulfilled by the team of organizers.
Social Media
The TDYVR Instagram page is where members find out about the next event, share their art, and participate in monthly challenges.
I curate the posters which promote the next event, post video and photo stories, and collaborate on posts with my personal account. I designed the poster template which announces each meetup (bottom-right).
Livestreams
YouTube livestreams happen occasionally so that out-of-town members are can join the meetups. The slides, transitions, music and AV inputs are setup through OBS Studio.
Events
TDYVR also hosts special events such as member showcases and field trips.
The showcases are a chance for members to project their art and play music. The field trips go to spaces such as VIVO Media Arts and DigiBC.
I help to conceptualize, plan and promote these events.
